| Company Profile The original version of TotalFBO® was written in response to a flight school's request for an aviation-specific software program. From that humble beginning in 1987, Horizon has grown to be one of the most recognized names for software among aviation businesses. Horizon Business Concepts, Inc. was founded April 19, 1988, and Version 1 of TotalFBO® was an immediate hit with the aviation industry. In late 1994, Version 2 of the program was released and several major enhancements have followed each year. In the Spring of 1999, Version 3 was released, moving TotalFBO® into a completely Windows-based environment. Late in 2002, Version 4 was released, moving the database into SQL-based security. Version 5, was released in the Summer of 2005, taking advantage of platform enhancements to deliver new functionality. The TotalFBO® product has evolved into the most complete, totally integrated aviation-specialized program available for the PC platform. Not only has Horizon addressed all the usual accounting functions, but it has also considered the unique character and requirements of aviation businesses in the development of TotalFBO®. From its inception, Horizon has always looked to the future to insure filling the needs of its customers. General Aviation is Horizon's only market, with over 1200 installations in the U.S. and Canada, and also in South America, Africa, and Asia. Horizon continues to grow, with expanded Tech support, Quality Control and Programming departments, offering clients the best customer service and the most responsive features available anywhere. |
